But that's the kind of guy Lebron needs. It doesn't necessarily have to be Redd himself. Though I'd be willing to bet he could have some sort of rejuvenation with Lebron. He wouldn't have to do nearly as much.

I think the best player for LeBron will be Dirk. Those two would be a deadly one-two punch.

Well, yeah for sure. That would be best case scenario for him. They might win 75 games.

So if you're Cleveland, do you make a trade such as Wallace for Zach Randolph to improve your talent in Lebrons contract year and use up alot of cap space? Or do you hold onto it and gamble that you can bring in a Bosh type to pair with Lebron, risking losing him next year?

Whu? Michael Redd? Really? Seems he's about the absolute last thing LeBron needs. He needs some dogs upfront. He doesn't need some 6'2 sg chukkin' up treys when he isn't injured.

I kind of agree with that. He needs a bulldog inside first, but a sharpshooter like Redd used to be would also be nice. that would be pretty unbeatable.

Boozer might be kicking himself, he could have helped Lebron lead the Cavs to a title this year. Though that greedhead probably doesn't give a shit.

Well, he obviously needs bigs...but Z would be more than serviceable if he had a guy like Redd who could knock down open jumpers off of Lebron and Mo Williams' kick-outs and slash to the rack himself. Can you imagine the pressure it would relieve? Look at it, he won 66 games and got to the ECF with Mo and Z as his two next best players. Guess it depends on what big you could get. Obviously, Bosh makes them not just a contender, but a favorite.

They have enough shooters as is. They need a shot blocking big and someone that can do damage in the post. The reason they lost to the Magic was because they couldn't exploit Rashard lack of strength at the 4. Z and Smith are jump shooters. Ben and Varejao are well Ben Varejao (you don't have to guard them). If they had someone that could punish the Magic for playing small they would've won that series.

Ben still wants Cleveland to pay him in some fashion though. I think it's doubtful he'll just walk away from that contract.

I wonder if Cleveland would be dumb enough to trade Ben to the Clips for Zack. You get a far better player but there are few players that are greater locker room slugs than Zack.

I think Ferry will freak out this summer and make some desperate move thinking it will make the team better and set up Bron to stay and he'll end up burring himself doing so.

I have to say Brons gone... The fact he is playing for his home town and hasn't said he would stay (which I think anyone that was playing in their home town and wanted to stay would) says alot.

Sigh...they don't have one decent sized guy who can shoot and slash other than Lebron. Acknowledged, he needs some bigs...but if you put a healthy Michael Redd on Cleveland right now, that's a scary ass team. Without making ANY other changes.

But who really cares? Eff Cleveland.

I second that. I hope they fail in their ambitions to upgrade.

The Pistons are so damned irrelevant now that I just don't care as much right now about a team or two making the right moves and getting over the championship top.

We need to rebuild. As long as we do that intelligently, I guess I'm fine. But I expect that even a well orchestrated effort, like Joe D accomplished when he first took over the team, will take 3-5 years, at least, to get us back to being a great team.

I'm trying to enjoy the league - to just be a fan and appreciate the game. It's not easy, since I hate every other team. I get jealous that we can't have a LeBron or a Kobe or a Wade.

They announced on the radio yesterday that Cleveland was talking (or expected to) with Rasheed.
