I pointed out some articles that stated that he got 40 stitches and he then got upset and felt that I was calling his mom a liar so I dropped the conversation. The YouTube folks seem to not know CD's mom either.

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | Yeah. My emotion going in was PURELY because of Gibby and that unreal, magical '84 run...sucked to see him hobbled and basically cast aside. I pulled for all of the Boys even after they left, particularly Parrish, my favorite. But you'd almost have to hate sports not to at least appreciate the way the table was set for that, and the way he came through. It's those types of moments that helps to keep sports intriguing, even in a cynical, finance driven world. |

Hipple threw FOUR touchdowns and ran for two more. Unbelievable. Lions won 48-17. Absolutely magical. Second, Terry Mills goes for 41 against Boston, I think 1993. Dude was on fire. The Lions/Rams game of this past season is up there, too. Awesome. |

: 0 For This Post 1 Total | Also, considering what had happened the last 2 years prior to that game I can kind of understand the gamble. First, there was the Rocket returning 2 kickoffs for TD's and then IIRC the year before, ND had a huge play on 3rd & 27 where the ball deflected off of one player's helmet and went to another WR (Lake Dawson?) who picked up the 1st. Kicking a 42 yard FG only puts us up 6 and running the ball was what they were loaded up for. Not the safe play by a long shot but it was a play that took those pieces of shit by surprise. To see Granny Holtz storming the sidelines all frazzled and pissy makes it so worth while. Fuck you, Lou!
