When they get that 10-12 point lead they NEVER build on it but instead let the other team close the gap. I expect the Pacers to maintain their inside/outside consistency and win this game going away. Of course I hope I am wrong, but I have watched it too many times this year to expect anything else. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | It wasn't easy to enjoy the W last night. We should have won that game by 15+ the way we were shooting the ball, and Indiana was in a total funk from letting the Miami game get away from them the night before. Yet we still let them back into the game half a dozen times after having the chance to put them away for good. The thing that pisses me off is, we have so many very good individual scorers on this team, we don't need a lot of easy baskets to score points. If we were even an average defensive team, we'd be in the playoffs. Our defense is so fucking bad. Our rotations are sloppy as hell, our transition D is awful, and we don't box out for shit. We're easily the worst defensive team in the entire league, and the responsibility is split down the middle between the players and the coaches. The players don't play smart enough on defense, but the coaching staff does a shit job of preparing them. The only reason we don't give up 110 on a nightly basis is because we slow the game down so we can limit the amount of chances the other team gets to exploit our shitty transition D. Last year it seemed he was in the post more. We just are not getitng the most out of this squad. How is it that we are still talking about chemistry when its half way through feb. Lies strictly on this horrible coach. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | I don't think so at all. CV is more or less a floor-bound guy -- he's not one you toss a lob to, or one to initiate his offense with his back to the basket. He is more likely to create for himself off the dribble when facing the basket. He's pretty good, when dialed in, at doing that in traffic. A dribble or two to create some space and then up with a half hook or something. Sheed was not the kind of guy to do that at all. Sheed would get up there above the rim and flush down lobs, although after 2004 we hardly encouraged that from him. When he did score inside he did it back-to-the-basket in a very traditional way -- a turnaround jumper, or the seal the defender/hook the leg/turn-and-shoot progression that coaches used to drill into anyone 6-6 or taller. The only thing they both do/did on a regular basis is drain 3s. If that's your only point of similarity than the comparison is useless. Plenty of big men of many kinds have had that kind of range over the years. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | Hey retard. You more or less agreed with what I said. As far as CV being "a floor-bound guy," I've seen quite a few alley-oops thrown his way (I think the last one was from a guy named Bynum). There are similarities between Sheed & Villa on offense. On defense??? No, not at all. Of course, Sheed was a more complete player than Villa ever will be. Quote:

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | You can say it all you want and call me names till 2020 but there are not similarities between them save for the fact that they are both shoot 3s. That is a similarity, not ``similarities''. They don't even float in the same way! And you would have to have made a very profound commitment to failing to notice anything when you watch basketball if you can't tell that there are many different types of 3-shooting big men. So, no, I did not agree with you. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | Actually, most "big men" are not proficient at shooting the 3. Charlie V & Sheed are. It's actually part of their comfort zone. |
