I think it's lame that the series didn't start today or tomorrow. Isn't a holiday weekend the perfect time for your showcase matchup?

I agree, JD, about the odd start day.

Looking at the matchup...

Marion played Durant well and Kidd played Kobe well, so that bodes well for their matchup against LeBron/Wade. It'll be interesting seeing how Miami matches up with Dirk. Probably a combination of Bosh/LeBron.

Dallas has been wearing everyone down by the 4th quarter, and I can see that continuing here. Bosh & LeBron will have to guard Nowitzki & Marion, so they'll be less effective on offense, while Nowitzki can basically rest on defense.

Still, no matter how you break it down, Miami still has the best 2 individual players on the court.

Durant is a rail that prefers shooting jumpers. Marion will be stepping into a different world covering LeBron.
