The brawl was one of those times in life where I remember where I was when it happened. I was walking into Firehouse Bar in Kalamazoo. I literally walked it when it happened. That whole night was intense. Later that evening I went to a house party. The TV had Sportscenter on. People kept watching it all night. Eventually a big ass fight broke out at the party. Crazy night.

When you say founding members, do you mean original memebers? Or do you mean that you helped create the site?

Original members. There were a couple dozen of us when PD started. There's around 16,000 now.

The site's original creator and moderator are still there.

The story behind PD is actually pretty similar to the Detroit forums that branched off from the old Freep days. A handful of people at the Indystar boards were fed up with the way things were being run, so we decided to start our own thing.

Well, in an attempt to grow the community, they try to keep things PG-13. To be fair, it's been a very successful formula.

I don't know about politeness being enforced, but there's definitely a line drawn, and they expect you not to cross it. I barely notice it anymore, but a lot of the more confrontational posters have trouble adjusting.

Honestly, other than giving up on the season, KStat was kind of right on that post. I mean, maybe they still make the ECF but they don't win the title if they don't trade for Sheed.
