| Sixth Man | GSW got crushed last night by the same bobcats team we crushed on friday. Steph Curry is still hurting, and Monta Ellis is in full out-of-control gunner mode. Dare I say, this is one we should win. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | Neither were Wade, Bosh or Carmelo. I'm not defending the Udoh pick. I thought it was a horrible decision the second they made it, and I think it might go down as one of the biggest draft-day breaks in Pistons history. I'm just saying the Darko pick wasn't any more defensible, in hindsight. Darko was only a year younger than Melo and Bosh, so it's not as if it was even arguable from a youth standpoint. : 0 For This Post 0 Total | Then you're wrong, again. Darko was absolutely a 100% failure as a pick. No question there. But he was a defensible pick (he was the consensus number 2 player, he was the youngest guy with the most "potential," he was etc., etc.). Udoh was considered a reach by everyone except those in GSW's front office and he was much older than the immediately comparable players. The only thing he had going for him was that he was "ready" (and that was clearly false just a year after his pick--while all the positives for Darko still existed for a couple years after his pick given his youth) and that he was a great defender (he isn't, but I suppose this is still a debatable point). |

He couldn't guard Lee. He attacked the rim out of control. He rebound and tried to dunk and you know what happened. The guy belongs in the NBA Developmental League. |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | We're actually a good post up team. Monroe is turning into a great post player (scoring and passing) and I think Stuckey can be a force down there too. Throw in an occasional Tay post up too. That should become more of a staple for us. We were also shredding GSW when they went zone. |

: 0 For This Post 3 Total | Impressions from tonight's game, so far: Monroe continues to be the best player on the floor for either team. We can say that quite a bit this season. Him improvement over last season is a bit hard to believe. He's become a great player, and he's still got a lot of development to go. Knight does a lot out on the court. I love how he defends even the fastest guards. Obviously, he's a rookie and he will make a lot of mistakes this year. Maxiell- ugh. I'm not sure why he's in any NBA rotation. He's should be an occassional fill-in 5-10 minute a night, maximum, guy. Daye is painful to watch. I sure hope he gets his confidence back, and quick. |

: 0 For This Post 3 Total | The thing about Monroe is how mature he looks out on the court. He's showing off incredible skill, and, unlike most young skilled players, he's really consistent in his play. I guess he can get better on offense, but I'm not exactly clear what anyone would say about something he needs to work on at that end of the court. He's doing this against guys thought to be really fine defensive centers - Bogut and Bierdens. How great is it to have a low post center that commands a double team, and who is such a strong and willing passer? |

: 0 For This Post 0 Total | Monroe is honestly getting better every game. His upside is off the charts right now. I also honestly think he is our future center going forward (not PF like some people see him better at. I bet we draft an athletic PF to pair with him and he will remain our center going forward. |

: 0 For This Post 3 Total | Some nice D by GS and a lousy stretch for us (Monroe missing a few shots, and Tay and BG turning the ball over and missing shots) and GS is right back in the lead. I sure hate watching Tay on this team - but until someone earns some minutes at SF (hear that Daye???), we've got no choice but to play him. |

Right now, this is so damn hard to watch sometimes. |
