Newman, there is no injured list anymore. You just designate the 12 guys you have active before a game. We could go out and sign someone, but I'm guessing they want to be able to keep that roster slot open in case of a trade.

You could easily make a case for at least 2-3 more wins if CV and Bynum aren't banished, and Tayshaun and Ben Gordon aren't given extended "personal reasons" sabbaticals.

Notice it's the veterans that are given this unexplained extended time off....

If Stuckey has to miss time, you'll see Gordon's shoulder magically heal itself.

I don't get the banishment part at all. Injuries happen in this league (especially to CV and Gordon, it seems) and we're in a compressed season where there are bound to be a lot more injuries anyway.

Still, if we had a healthy Gordon and CV - very clearly we'd at least have the potential of being a much better offensive team. Those are two high quality offensive players. CV in for Maxiell, Ben Wallace would be a very massive firepower improvement. I'm not a fan of CV overall. I wish we'd never signed him. But on this team, right now, we're really missing him. On behalf of the ping pong balls, I'm gratetful.

I think Walker Russell is an improvement comparing to Bynum. He has more skills, he fits better the team, and he surely plays harder.

Part of the tanking is not making any effort to find a complimentary big man to partner with Monroe. Rather lose than burden the cap or trade an asset. It's a lose now to win later move.

I think that is more a consequence of the position we are in of not having many tradeable assets other than our draft pick, which is going to be really high.

If a team wanted Gordon or CV, Dumars would make that trade. The fact that Gordon makes over $10 million this season doesn't make him appealing in trades nor does the fact that CV can't see the court on a deep lottery team.

The fact that this team starts Ben Wallace and Prince seems to indicate that they aren't tanking.

A tanking team would be playing Daye huge minutes and also playing Macklin more than he is. Jerebko would also likely be still starting over Ben Wallace.
