I think he learned a lot by the end of the third season, and I bet the Wiz are around 5 or 6 seed as soon as next season barring significant injury to key players.
I have a bet with Hause that says otherwise.

Money, Hack's a moron about this. After a 39-win season the dipshit is still complaining about the conference finals three years in a row. Just insult him and move on. He's begging you to do it.

But time's proved me right -- a mentally checked-out LB is better than a fully committed Flip Saunders.

No. All things were simply not equal when Flip took over AFTER LB helped to cultivate that mindset in the players. There's no evidence to convince me otherwise.

I respect his opinion, that's why it's hard to understand this stance.

Unless the Pistons were perfectly healthy and not flipping switches, every team Flip coached went as far as it could have. Flip's problem is he took over a team that was pretty much uncoachable and then became tapped-out. Injuries killed us in at least two of those years - Sheed's ankle the year Miami won, and Chauncey hammy against Boston last year.

This year's team could have been coached by Chuck Daly with Phil Jackson and Red Auerbach as his assistants, and it was going NOWHERE.

Players matter in this league, and let's face it, we didn't have them and every year since 2005 the roster has gotten older, less coachable and worse.

Actually, it's easy: A TRULY bad coach on the team who REALLY caused the players to quit has shown that Hack's full of shit, so he ignores it and compares Flip to Larry Brown. Sort of like how he ignores what Brown has done since he left here.

That's true if one ignores the multiple times I've said that Flip's much better than Curry, including in this thread. I don't think it's hard to understand that Flip wasn't the right coach for this team following LB.

LOL

Who was the right coach -- Norman Schwartzkof?

The only uncoachable guy was Rasheed, who reverted to his historically moronic ways as soon as we won a championship. They should have traded the dope while he still had value. We'd still be a contending team...

Billups contradicted Flip about ISOs in the press and Tay, Dice and Lindsey questioned his judgment. Sheed must have forced them to say these things publicly against their will.

So, clarify, dumbass. When Dwight Howard criticized Van Gundy's coaching last week, was that a mutiny?
