Hey . . . chatted with Charlie on Facebook. I think he's going to be in for H2H this year after all and he's got a friend that wants to join too -- not Mingus.

I'd like for us to at least have ten folks, so I think that'd be cool.

I prefer 12. 10 just overloads teams with talent, and makes managers less active. And its much more interesting when you have extra managers to partner up with for trades.

Seems challenging as hell. Only people we ef'n trust, though. Seems we'll have 10 fairly easily, and maybe even 12 in the next week or two, so 14 doesn't seem that far-fetched.

This is getting up there so quickly, I'd appreciate it if managers start paying the ante soon because I don't want to end up begging for it so I can do the pay-out next year. Let's lock these teams in. I remember how people were berating KM that one season.

I wonder if a new system for collecting money should be put in place for fantasy leagues. I propose something like this:

1. Collection deadline - December 1st.

2. Payment after December 1st is penalized $5 for every week unpaid.

3. Penalty collected goes towards the ante

4. New league managers must pay in advance, in order to join the league.

What do you guys think?

I've been playing ball with most of you guys for about a decade now, so I know all of us pay, but this will alleviate some of the collection problems and put some rules in place.

I don't think that a system is necessary, I've commished a lot of these leagues and no one's ever avoided paying or given me the runaround, I just got lazy about following up. Anyone I've ever reminded about payment has sent it through in a timely fashion.

No way to 14 teams. The talent sucks if you do that and you really get fucked picking towards the end of the draft. 12 teams is ideal, 10 is fine if we have to go that route.

Yeah, you're probably right. You would have a HUGE advantage if you picked in the top 5 or so. Sounds crazy to try sometime, though.

To tell the truth I kind of like Sam's idea. Most of the time I can't get the password untill I pay. Then a short time later guys were let in without paying just to fill up the league ( which kind of pissed me off because I have always paid before the league started. ) and like sam I have also played for most of a decade.

PS: Money, notice I said most of the time, lol..

Its still a snake though, whether its 14 or 12. Its just a tougher challenge, and late round gems might be even more valuable, and mid rounds become crucial in order to build a solid foundation. I play 15 player roto with big rosters, and yea, you have to scrap for talent in late rounds. But its still interesting.

I think a money collection process could be good for simplifying the process, year in and year out. With rules in place, only paypal email need to be adjusted.

Hey.. not that it is a big deal but anyway we can push the draft to 9pm instead of 930.. I think I've only made one of these drafts before and this one is cutting it close beings I work at 11pm and have to leave the house at 10pm. Not a big deal but it would be nice.. think this is my 6th or 5th year and I've only made one draft so it's not as if I routinely ask for this.
