You should never have a problem getting back on D in half court.

RIP Jack :(

Coolest pup ever...only 2.5 months old. He collapsed and died this morning from what appeared to be ruptured intestines. But before they could finish all his tests and after they hooked him up to fluids and took x-rays....he passed away. So sad.

Thanks for the kind words, Medz, Stefan + Maes. :) I know he's just a dog but man, I couldn't stop thinking about him. I heard a Kelly Clarkson song on the radio and I just started bawling. I mean, what is wrong with me. LOL

My mom (who is no animal lover) couldn't sleep for two days thinking about him. He was so much a part of the family and so human-like...hard to not be sadden he's gone.

Hard loss, I'm sorry for you Esther. Time and yes another dog do a lot for healing. My mom had grown old with an irreplaceable companion. She wouldn't consider getting another dog for several years. When she finally did break down and bought a new pup she regretted instantly that she didn't do it right away. Heffner didn't replace Winslow. But he brings her joy in his own way.

2.5 months, how awful. He looked like a real cutie.

Agree with Bing, tho now wondering a bit about his mother due to choice in dog name.

Heffner was a rescue adoption from a puppy mill where he was used as a stud. He's a little toy poodle with an underbite. Pugnacious looking and quite the swordsman apparently.

LOL. Bro and sis-in-law have a toy. Cutest little thing, and one never imagined liking a fripping toy poodle. Then they got a scottie and the toy turned snotty.

I'm happy I have two dogs. First off, it's not just twice as much fun, it's fun [squared]. (I wonder, if I had 3, maybe it would be fun [cubed].). Also, as hard as it will be when one of my pupps moves on, maybe it will be a bit less hard.

By the way, my ladies like to make their bed, too. On one ocasion, when I was in the living room, I heard some weird rumors coming from the bedroom. So, I went there to check out what is up. It turned out that Sappho was pulling her heavy mat all the way from under the windowm, to on the bed, to on the pillow, and so on. Simply hillarious.

I took this pic at our Labor Day cookout. That's Maes on the end, his little brother in the Stockton jersey, and my guitarist Blaine next to him.

Those dogs do look like they need some fresh air...

It would also be nice if Stefan showed some appreciation for his furry friends, perhaps with a limerick?

It's a ghost crab! Ocypode quadrata. It was staring at me, so...

...I tried to stare him (?) down. Then...

...I just told him I am calling the dogs. (Darn! I knew that the Ladies will somehow emerge in any of my photo stories...)

I can try but, to be frank, the only limerics I have ever writen were "R"-rated. Like this one

I've never seen a crab with a square body before. In fact, I was sure that it was a remote controlled beachcomber.....until he folded into himself.

Holy schnikes I just almost puked -- crustaceans nauseate me, as I am allergic to them. Just looking at them, with those fucking eyes on stalks and their claws and whatnot -- I can't handle it. Can someone repost mabbott's limerick, so i don't have to scroll up there again please?

Sorry if I groosed you out, Amigo.
BTW, it's Mabbot's request but not his limeric. The limeric is mine:

No context beyond Mr. Mabbott's suggesting I will write a limeric, maybe, and my response that all my limerics are a bit riske. As you can imagine, it's the first in a series of 12 (i.e., as many as there is condoms in a box).

We've done it, albeit briefly. I was surprised to see DB Forshing Dan Brown, though he still did it guardedly and deprecatingly.

Two more:

Carl believes in the ethics of Natural Law
from which the conclusion he tries to draw
that we break the eternal holy code
while put on a dick that's about to explode
we worry he’ll break when push comes to shove.

Holy rants from Carl’s mind are long gone
seen last time when the lights were still on
he was blown like balloon
for a while looked like moon
then he burst and was thrown out at dawn.
